Art Darken A Train Photo in Photoshop
step 1. Open the picture and make a gaussian blur.
Open the picture which have a train in it and go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur...
Then set the Blending more fot the layer as pin light. And you now need to go to Image>Adjustment>Hue/Saturation.
Step 2. Create a new layer
In this step you can create a new layer by going to create new fill or adjustment layer > solid color. The black color will be the selected color. You also need to set the Opacity as 70%.
Step 3. Select brightness contrast
Now what you should do is to go to create new fill or adjustment layer >brightness contrast.
Step 4. Set the channel paramenters
Add another new layer for adjustment and go to channel by pressing ALT, Shift and E. Opacity should be set as 70%.
Step 5. Make highlights in the picture
Use Dodge Tool to make some highlights in the areas where need to be highlight by press Ctrl, ALT, Shift and E. The Brush size can be set yourselves. And the range can be choose in the range from 10% to 20%.
Step 6. Another layer for channel mixer
Step 7. Selcet colot options
In this step you need to go to add create new fill or adjustment layer > selective color options.

Step 8. Further Gaussian Blur
Go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur... by pressing Ctrl, ALT, Shift and E.
The Blending mode should be set to Multiply. And then go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation.
Step 9. Ajust some too dark parts
Now you need to add vector mask in the layer and adjust the dark parts with brush tool.
Step 10. Make the light effects
Now you will go to Filter>Render>Lighting Effects to make some light effects. Then the opacity should be set to 70%.
Step 11. Drop the color unwanted
In this step we will drop the color where used to be argent with the tool by pressing Ctrl, ALT, Shift and E.
Step 12. Set the saturation on another new layer
Another new layer is needed and you should set the saturation to -30.
Step 13. select the area of the front of the train
Now you need to draw the locomotive by pressing Ctrl, ALT, Shift and E.
Step 14. Selective color options should be set on another layer
You will go to add create new fill or adjustment layer > selective color options to set the color options.

Step 15. Adjust the light source of the locomotive
Now you need to go to Filter>Render>Lighting Effects to adjust the light source of the locomotive. The Opacity of the layer should be set to 33%.
Step 16. Make some sharpen effects
Go to Filter>Sharpen>smart sharpen to make sharpen effects.
Step 17. Add light beam to the picture
In this step we will add two light beam to the train. After some adjustments we will see the final result like this.
So far we have darkened the train with some art effects. Do you think that the steps is easy to master?
